Why Opaline?
At Opaline, our goal is to curate items and design homes that bring joy and comfort to your everyday life. To create homes that bring family together and make you feel at ease and more like yourself.
How It Started
When I was five I would merchandise my room and set up my cash register (a real one, not just a Toys R’ Us typical 5-year old model), and invite my family in to shop. All items had to be immediately returned of course, but I enjoyed rearranging my displays and seeing what I “sold”.
Moving around a lot as a child, my parents always let me decorate my room however I wanted. In retrospect, I realize how impactful that was to my sense of security and self during big moves and change. I always felt like I was home and had a peaceful place where I felt like I was in control and felt like myself.

As a young adult, I worked for furniture and home decor stores, both family owned and larger chains. One family owned store in particular sparked my deep passion for the industry and solidified my desire to one day have a store of my own.
After living in France for a few years, moving to the PNW with my husband, and having two children, I’m now living in a town I adore with a vibrant and creative community. Falling in love with Snohomish was the final motivation that brought me to take action to fulfill a lifelong dream and open a place of my own.
Today, you can find me in the store, probably rearranging displays or picking out fabrics and putting together floral arrangements. Decades later and my store still feels the same as when I was five; like home. (Except you don’t have to immediately return things now.)
